A travel today…..onward to Scotland.

We had an easy trip to Kings Cross Station where Kate and Kirsty braved the crowds at Platform 9 3/4 to catch the Hogwarts Express. They facetimed Ella and Sloane to share the experience. I was the bag minder.

The trip up was uneventful, but the great thing was that the further north we went the more the temperature dropped and the humidy left. Even so, it was by no means cold in Edingburgh. I do feel slightly cheated that all we are doing in Edinburgh is collecting the car and heading off.

Everything has gone according to plan today. Collecting the car was easy, the drive to Chirnside easy, locating the house easy, shopping for supplies easy and a very easy evening eating in. I was in bed by 9pm, and if the truth be told I was alseep before getting into bed. London was full on, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Our converted barn accommodation in Chirnside is fanatstic, rustic but very comfortable. Perfect for our week here. Let’s get the next party started !!
