We are now with Ian and Morag at their lovely house in Dunbar with a wonderful view out to sea. The weather has improved and over the last 2 days we have actually seen sunshine, although very windy.
This is a bit of respite from our hectic trip around Scotland and a great lead in to our trip home. We have been very spoilt, lots af great food, chat and drink.
We have toured about a bit seeing the sights at places like North Berwick. We have also been able to catch up for a coffee with Rob and Lorna, and as luck would have it, Abby was there as well.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Morag and I played golf at “her” course at Dunbar. She was the lady’s President for some time, so is well known. What an experience to play a seaside links course of the quality of Dunbar…..I beat her one up on the 18th !!
Today is a pack up day and head to the airport. We will stay at the airport hotel as our flight out is at 8am tomorrow.
As usual we are sad to be leaving Scotland, but we have put in a lot over the last 5 weeks….2,800 miles. Great fun, but ready for home.
