The Day Before

We were up early for Ella’s hockey Grand Final. Great result, 8-1 winners !!

A late breakfast with the Ella, Sloane, Andrew, Erin and Kate. I was lucky enough to get some Fathers Day goodies.

The rest of the day was spent pulling out way too many clothes, sorting them, checking the London weather for the coming week, bringing out more clothes given the promised 6 days of sunshine and 27 degrees. Re-ordering the piles of clothes, re-sorting them and realising that moving piles around does not diminish them. Time to be ruthless. Our bags do have a limited capacity.

Suffice to say we are very excited. Our flight isn’t until 9pm tomorrow (Sunday), so we do have most of the day to unpack and do it all over again. When I say “we”, I actually mean Kirsty. I’ll pack once tomorrow before we go.

The trip will entail many highlights I’m sure. The first leg in London will be spent catching up with lots of Kirsty’s couisns and kids, most of whom have been to Aus at one time or another. As luck would have it, we will be there for her Cousin James’ 60th birthday…..a James Bond theme. We will have to dress to kill.

So, over time I’ll continue this story for those of you who wish to journey with us. More to come once we hit London town.

Farewll from Paddington (Australia).
